Hernias and Surgery and Stiches, OH MY!!

Tuesday September 21st at 5 am, Danny is fast asleep in bed, not knowing that I was wide awake and stressing out about the big event of that day, his hernia surgery! Danny has had a hernia for about 3-4 years, and finally after much nagging on my part he decided to get it fixed! He wasn't stressed one bit, not even when they took him back he was calm and was acting like surgery isn't a big deal, but don't worry, I worried enough for the both of us!

Danny and Roxie out cold the morning of the surgery! I was wide awake and couldn't get back to sleep so I decided to get up and do anything to distract me!

Around 7 am, Carv woke up got his breakfast and then promptly began tearing apart his room like he does every day because I so kindly clean it for him every night!! Cute lil stink!

But how can I even think about getting mad at someone this cute?! Your right, I can't and hardly ever do!!!

Danny's surgery was originally scheduled for 8:30 AM, but they were running behind so the hospital called me and pushed him back to 9:30 AM! This is us driving to the hospital at around 9AM! (Danny was trying his best not to smile... he wasn't to happy about how camera crazy I was this morning haha)

Getting his IV put in!! Now he didn't actually make it back to surgery until about eleven, and then he was in surgery for 40 minutes and in recovery for another 15. By the time I saw him again he was pretty with it for the most part! still a little groggy though.

2 days later, we pulled it off and here it is! the final battle wound!

The days have been getting a little chilly lately, its not fall quite yet but its definitely right around the corner!! We spent some time outside today and Danny at any chance he gets is trying to get Carver to walk, and yes I want my son to walk, no I don't want him crawling till he is 3, but do we have to rush it really?? Do we have to push him so hard to walk?? I don't think so. if he doesn't walk till he is 1 or a little after, my heart definitely won't be broken!! But, this kid is smart, I mean REALLY smart!! (ok ok it could just be the proud mother talking, but I still think he is super smart) And I'm sure if Danny keeps it up, he will be walking sooner than we think!! He loves to stand, sometimes he gets very mad if you try to sit him on his buns because all he wants to do is stand! He cant quite pull himself up into a standing position, he is really top heavy!! You have to understand that this kid is the size of an average 18-24 monther! But I'm sure once his cute chubby legs build up some muscle, he will be cruisin' along the furniture edges in no time!!

Oh, and speaking of personality, a big part of it is his "lil stinker" attitude! Its really cute sometimes, but also it makes mom have to clean up ALOT of unusual messes. One of these unusual messes?? Qtips. and not just any Qtips, half soaked with baby spit and chewed on Qtips. Every single one! and it was a new box. I have no idea what motivated him to chew on one end, then spit them out and grab more and repeat. But he did this all in a matter of 5 minutes of me being in the other room. 5 minutes. Oh boy, what a boy!

This is actually after I had found him, he kinda slowed down on the whole eating part because he knew it was naughty!

The first pic I took!! Now I know, this could have ended with him choking on one. But honestly, he picked them up, put them in his mouth like the above pictures, sucked on them for a sec then spit them right out!! Don't ask me why, because I don't know!!

but I do know this....

I love this little being more than I could ever love anything or anybody else.

and that's a fact.

Super Awesome Blow Up Ball Pit!!

So, a few days ago we decided to buy Carver a bouncy ball house, and he LOVES it!!! It kind of scares me sometimes because he loves to push on the sides that have walls until the whole thing tips over and he just laughs and laughs, but I just know that one of these days it will end in a crying baby!! He is fascinated with crawling inside it and looking out the doors at me or Danny, and he LOVES it when his daddy plays with him when he is in it. Danny will crawl around it and say peek a boo! from one of the two entrances and it always cracks Carv right up!!

This is what he does most the time, sits by one of the doors and peeks out at me and Danny, he thinks its really cool!

I was in the kitchen and I could here Danny and Carver laughing, I look into the living room to find Danny trying to get into the ball pit with Carver in it already! It was so funny I about cried I was laughing so hard!! He finally managed it and I had to take a picture!

Now I know these don't have to do with the ball pit, but isn't he just to cute?!

In his dollar tree PJ's! They were so cheap, only bad part is that his arms didn't fit in the sleeves after I washed them! haha

Watching TV in the mornings, he doesn't do this every morning but now and then he just wants to chill after he wakes up! He is too cute sometimes!

Our first garden!

This year I really really wanted to do a garden, so we asked our landlord if it was ok to plow up some of the back yard (which I didn't see the problem since it is not that awesome of a grass situation back there) and he said yes!! This year we only planted potatoes, corn, peas, carrots, and pumpkins just to see if it would grow. And it did! Our peas, carrots, and potatoes are gone already! I'm a big fan of little potatoes so we didn't really let those get to big! And nothing is better than a carrot straight from the garden washed off and eaten right in the yard!!! But here are some pictures of our first lil garden!! Please don't mind the weeds, they are horrible yes I know, we were planning on weeding later today when it wasn't so hot outside.

Corn and pumpkin plant #2! I love that we planted our garden, and I love that it has been doing so good! Next year, we will definitely be doing more types of plants, I cant wait!!

1. Do you have any nicknames and if so how did they come about?

Well I have three nicknames, two are still used and one died out because when I was little I HATED it!! Jojo is the one that died out, I have no idea how it started but I do know what family started calling me that!! It was my cousin Kassi and her mom Marty who started it! I dont mind it now, but when i was little for some reason it really bugged me. Jord is one im called alot from my family members, mostly my Dads and mom. Its just easier than saying Jordan i guess! And the Jori is the one im still called alot actually, its because when i was going to school there was another Jordan Brown in my school so my mom started calling me Jori! (secretly, I really dont enjoy being called Jori anymore, but its not a huge deal I never really mention that to anybody... but now the secrets out!)

2.What is your birth order among your siblings?

I am the oldest of 4 with my mom and adoptive dad, and the Oldest of 5 with my dad and step mom

It would have to be lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Calet, I have been a huge fan of Jason Mraz since FOREVER and their duet is BEAUTIFUL!

Just saving to save for now!

oh boy... what a boy!

Today I was in a rush to get Carver bathed so I could get ready, so I decided to bathe him in the sink, which, he loved!! He made a huge mess splashing, which is his favorite thing to do anytime he gets in the water!!

He was talking to me the whole time!

Every time he splashes, he splashes himself in the face, which he finds very very funny!!!



And then, the other day, I heard Carver start whining, which we usually ignore because we don't want him to think every time he whines we will come running, but pretty soon he was crying so I went to see what was wrong. I checked the kitchen, our room, and his room, and he wasn't anywhere to be seen! Just as I was walking out of his room, he started whining again, and it was coming from under his crib!! He had crawled after Cinder, our new puppy, and followed her under the bed but then couldn't figure out how to get out!! He thought it was pretty funny when I found him.

Saturday we decided at the spur of the moment to join Danny's family up in Spring City where they all were going to go watch the races and Wild Bills Raceway... not exactly my cup of tea but Danny had a great time and Carver really liked watching the cars go by, and I did get to gossip and hang out with Danny's step mom and sister, which I always enjoy! Oh.. and Carver has learned in just the past week to high five, crawl, sit himself up without us helping him, and walk in his walker. I'm thrilled yet at the same time, a little sad to see my first baby grow up!!

Overall it was a very fun night, we didn't get home till about 11:30, and Carver was very mad that i woke him up to take a bath.. it was so dusty there was no way i was letting him go to bed without one!!
